Come and discover the expressive qualities of water. This event is on Thursday 12 September 2024 , from 16:00 to 18:00, at Kultur vid Ekoln and is in collaboration with The Faculty of Languages, Uppsala University. Professor David Ricks (King’s College London) will speak on the theme of water as threat and threatened in modern Greek poetry. He is joined by fiction author and scholar Dr Barbara Barrow and PhD student Elena De Wachter (Lund University), as well as Jacek Smolicki, cross-disciplinary artist, researcher and soundwalker (Uppsala University). Through attention to the unique properties of water and the poetics it inspires, this polyphonic and intermodal seminar promises to be a magical event on the beautiful banks of Lake Ekoln.
